Knowledge Is Power

We’ve all heard that knowledge is power. The problem that most people face, is how to get the knowledge that will give them that power. Knowledge comes through education, therefore education is empowerment. That is what I put in the title above: Education E(d) equals Empowerment E(m).

Why put it in the form of an equation? Two reasons. As Einstein wrote, everything in the universe can be expressed in mathematics, and the equation is more descriptive than simple words. The second reason is that simple shortcuts, such as my equation above, make valuable information easier to remember. Learning that, adds to your education, which adds to your empowerment, and I want you to be the most powerful person you can be.

As Witches and Pagans, we are constantly learning. First we learn the basics of ritual, and the holidays that are sacred to our particular Path. Later, we may learn about divination, herbcraft, magick, or other more specific trails along our Path. We learn to refine our practices, and study how our ancestors practiced their Craft.

All of this learning and studying becomes knowledge that empowers us to become not just better Witches and Pagans, but better people. We learn that everything in the universe is connected to every other thing, and that what we do for ourselves affects everything around us.

This is powerful knowledge. It empowers us to make changes in ourselves, and those changes within, create change around us. Once we realize that we have the power to create change, both within, and without, we also realize that there is nothing that can keep us from our goals, except us.

This is the true power of a Witch, and this is what Witchcraft Academy is dedicated to. I want to help you learn, through posts, through videos, and through classes, how to harness that power which we all have, but few ever really tap into. It takes more than learning the words, and going through the motions of ritual. It requires hard work, and perseverance.

There are a lot of people in the world, who go through life in neutral. They coast from place to place, never having any destination in mind. When they get to a waypoint that their life propels them to, they aren’t happy with the destination, but they don’t do anything to change it. They blame their job, or their spouse, or their life, or the 1% for putting them in a place they’d rather not be. Everyone else is to blame but the one person who has the ability to do something about it, themselves.

So the question you have to ask yourself is, do you have what it takes to become the person you were destined to be?
